It is the tenth TIlted Kilt to open and it opened on Memorial Day, 2008 at the corner of Gilbert and Baseline Roads in Mesa, Arizona.
“This will be the classiest sports pub in the east valley,” says Larry Frank one of the three partners. Frank is joined by Michael Vertanen and Jeff Strand in opening the pub. Frank and Vertanen were in the software business in the Midwest and West Coast areas before coming to Phoenix to develop real estate. Strand, a former educator, has been working in the Tilted Kilt organization for the past several months and will manage the pub.
“We’re going to focus on providing not only a great pub, but we intend to offer the best service you can imagine,” Frank said. The Mesa/Gilbert Tilted Kilt brings the number of pubs in the valley to three.
