Green Bay Tilted Kilt Now Open
Green Bay sports fans have a new home away from home away from home. The Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery opened on September 26, at 2615 S. Oneida St. in the Ashwaubenon area of Green Bay.
The Tilted Kilt is located in the old Boston Pizza building. It has been refitted with the Tilted Kilt décor and as has 25 HD TV screens which display sports events from all over the world. Packer fans without tickets will find the Kilt to be the best place outside the stadium to see the games.
“We’re pretty enthusiastic about this new concept,” said Steve Wood, Vice President of Development for Wisconsin Kilt, the Area Developer for the franchise concept. “It’s exciting, yet has a comfortable and homey feel to it, just like the old pubs.”
The Tilted Kilt is a sports pub hybrid of the public houses of Scotland, Ireland, England and the early U.S. The menu is an eclectic mix of both traditional “pub grub” such as shepherd’s pie and fish and chips, and more modern creations from the Tilted Kilt chefs such as Ultimate Club Wraps and Sloppy Janes (Joe’s Sister).
The pub pours ales and beers from around the world as well as virtually every other libation a customer could want. The stars of the show at The Tilted Kilt are the sharp and attractive young people who make up the staff. The wait staff includes lovely lasses in sexy mini kilts and hunky male bartenders and servers in kilts. The staff is more like a cast of actors as they assume the roles of hosts and hostesses in a super-friendly public house atmosphere.
The decor includes warm woods and lighting, plus The Tilted Kilt’s own registered Tartan plaid. Artifacts, posters and Celtic-themed art cover the walls. Original Tilted Kilt limericks are hand painted on the walls.
Large plasma TV screens bring in sports events from around the globe, adding a modern accent to the old pub atmosphere. For the traditionalists, there are darts and pocket billiards. Special events, live music and a friendly atmosphere round out the picture of The Tilted Kilt operation.
